Welcome to Illinois Chicago North Mission

Hey all! How's everything going? Things here are going GREAT! We had a ruff week, and every time that we brought a member with us to teach the appointment canceled. Thankfully they were all so great about it.

This last Monday we went and taught Gary. We actually got out there this time, can you believe it? (Max, ask Mom about Gary, it's a great story) **Mom here--Evidently there is a letter somewhere on its way, since we have NO idea who 'Gary' is** Anyway, we took the Johnsons out to his place with us. He lives in Stockton, which is about 30-45 min. away from Freeport. We taught him a first and he really seemed to grasp it. He felt the spirit there, and it was so strong, he just has yet to realize that he was feeling the spirit. We got to talking about the Book of Mormon, and I was testifying about it and said "I don't have to be here, no one expected me to come. I'm here because I love the message so much and because I want to be here." I think that that touched him; I know that it hit me as well, and I'm the one who said it.

Audra wrote me the other day, it was GREAT! It was such a good letter. I'm mid-letter back to her. I was not expecting it, which made it an even better letter.
Max, I hear that you are liking Seattle, That's GREAT!

The Elders in my District are great! And they are so sarcastic, it's great fun.
Oh, I built a snowman the other day. Not a dinky one like we made in Oakhurst, this one was about as tall as me! It was so fun. We made it for a less-active who has no arms and one leg. She is so funny. She called and asked for us to make it for her, and who were we to turn her down on a great time serving and playing in the snow. Don't worry Mom, I took pictures. Just don't know how long 'till they get in the mail. Sister Stafford and I have a baptism coming up here in a few weeks. Her name is Nancy. She's so sweet. We are hoping for another four soon. It's a family, and they are just the greatest!

We have a mission tour coming up, Monday actually. Elder Kolliker is coming to speak here in the mission. That will be great fun. I am really looking forward to that. The people here feed us like crazy! It's so great! I live in a townhouse, I will take some pics and get them out to you, never fear, I just don't know when. LOL.

So Mom, I hear that you are just so much quieter this semester, huh? Is that 'cause you don't have me?

Thanks so much for the letters mom, and if you are posting this letter, thank you to everyone else who writes me. How was the baptism by the way? I really do hope that you went.
Well, I apologize that this letter is kinda all over the place. I love y'all so much.

P.S. There is only a slight accent out here. Mainly they just say their "a"s weird.
ppss, Max, you CAN write me.

Love y’all 'tuns.'

Sister Luthy
